I. Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) Association: From the year 2021 CCC is associated with Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) and the certificate for 8 Weeks PG Certificate in Counselling Psychology will be provided from CCC in association with MLCU.

II. Eligibility to apply for the course: The 8 weeks residential certificate course is for   psychologists with Post Graduate Degrees, MA, Mphil, Phd, Caring Professionals like Social Workers, Teachers, Church leaders, Doctors, Nurses, other Post Graduates and Graduates with some years of experience who are interested to develop their skills and competence in counselling psychology and help people to maximize their potentials, improve their wellbeing, cope with life challenges including anxiety, depression, career issues, relationship problems etc. Functional knowledge of English is essential as English is the medium of instruction.  This programme is compulsorily residential.  Through regular interaction during residential living, human relations skills are developed.

III. The course fees:   After being intimated about your selection, the full amount needs to be sent by the date which will be informed in the acceptance letter.  

1.      From March 1st in the new location, we outsourced room and board arrangements with sister institutions. They were reporting that it is not possible to manage with the fee for room and board paid to them based on what was charged as fees. Of course, this is also based on inflation of food items that you are also experiencing. Hence in consultation with them who are modestly charging institutions, and in consultation with administrative and financial consultants, the following fees is fixed and is applicable from July first, 2024.

2.      From 1st July    2024 following rates will be applied

3.      This are calculated for groups of around of 20 persons. If they are less than people may be asked to make their own arrangement for their room and board.

4.      The above fees are a package fees and not a retail fees, fees once paid will not be refundable.

5.      We are conscious that this quality of training cost much more  

6.      The Rs. 400/- fee for food per day works out to Rs. 100 for breakfast, Rs. 150 for lunch, Rs. 100/- for dinner Rs. 50 for tea/coffee/Milk/snacks/ midmorning and evening with veg.  and non-veg options

IV. Fieldworks at CMC Hospital: Practical counselling skills are honed through specially arranged primary clinical assignments with patients in the Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore.  Trainees get opportunities to counsel in their native tongue. 

V. Faculty Supervisor:

a. Professional staff of CCC under the supervision of chief clinical supervisor Dr. B. J. Prashantham will be available every week at designated times for individual supervision and group discussions. 

b. There will be presentations with assignments, exercises, assessments that will be expected to be completed and submitted on a daily and weekly basis.

VI. Refund Policy:  If a candidate fails to complete the course on time, there will be no refund of fees. Course material will be supplied as hard copies. Professional ethics and compliance with all rules and regulation are expected to be followed failing which termination from the programme at the discretion of the management is possible for the sake of the integrity of the profession and service to society. There will be cumulative module or submodule assessment of learning, skills and competencies to satisfactory levels. The issue of the certificates is subject to the completion of all the requirements of the course on a satisfactory level and full attendance in the classroom activity and fieldwork.  Permission for up to two days' leave may be sought in the event of unforeseen emergencies.
